Nós do GitHub estamos animados em anunciar nosso meetup virtual na América Latina, o GitHub ¡Presente!

Nosso primeiro evento será na terça-feira, 25 de Agosto, às 18h, horário de Brasília (16:00 CDT).

O evento será apresentado e comandado pela Priscila, Engenheira de Suporte do GitHub e membro do Octogatos! Junto com ela estarão: Pedro Lacerda, do time de Enterprise Solutions, que irá falar sobre Segurança; e Arthur Neves, do time de Engenharia de Software, falando sobre como o GitHub usa o GitHub.

Também teremos três convidados especiais:

• Felipe de Morais: Compartilhando a história de sua carreira como desenvolvedor e na criação do AfroPython
• Cynthia Zanoni: Abordando o tema “Quem tem medo do GitHub?” e como a comunidade Womakerscode tem ajudado desenvolvedoras a usar o GitHub e contribuir em projetos de código aberto (Open Source)
• Paulo Silveira: Falando sobre como pessoas que não são desenvolvedoras podem usar o GitHub

Ao fim do evento, teremos um tempo dedicado para networking, onde você poderá se conectar com o pessoal do GitHub e outras pessoas com interesses em comum.

Nos complace anunciar nuestro evento virtual en América Latina: GitHub ¡Presente!

El primer evento será el martes 25 de agosto a las 18:00, hora de Brasilia (16:00 CDT).

El evento será presentado y dirigido por Priscila Heller, Ingeniera de Soporte de GitHub y miembro de GitHub Octogatos. Junto a ella estarán: Pedro Lacerda, del equipo de Soluciones Empresariales, que hablará de Seguridad; y Arthur Neves, del equipo de Ingeniería de Software, hablando sobre cómo GitHub usa GitHub.

También tendremos tres invitados especiales:

• Felipe de Morais: Compartiendo la historia de su carrera como desarrollador y de la creación de AfroPython
• Cynthia Zanoni: Con el tema “¿Quién le teme a GitHub?” y cómo la comunidad de Womakerscode ha ayudado a los desarrolladores a usar GitHub y contribuir a proyectos de código abierto (Open Source)
• Paulo Silveira: Hablando de cómo las personas que no son desarrolladores pueden usar GitHub

Al final del evento, tendremos un tiempo dedicado a networking, donde podrás conectarte con empleados de GitHub y otras personas con intereses comunes.

GitHub is excited to announce GitHub ¡Presente!, our monthly virtual meetup in Latin America.

Our first event will happen on Tuesday, August 25, at 18:00 BRT / 16:00 CDT.

The event will be hosted by Priscila Heller, from the Enterprise Support team, and member of the Octogatos Employee Resource Group (ERG). She’ll be joined by Pedro Lacerda, from the Enterprise Solutions Engineering team, speaking about Security, and Arthur Neves, one of our Software Engineers, speaking about how GitHub uses GitHub.

We will also have three special guests:

• Felipe de Morais: Talking about his career as a developer, and how he helped create the AfroPython community
• Cynthia Zanoni: Chatting about how using GitHub for the first time can be intimidating, and how the Womakerscode community has helped developers use GitHub and contribute to open source projects
• Paulo Silveira: Talking about how non-developers can leverage GitHub and use its many features

At the end of the event, we will dedicate some time for networking, where you can connect with Hubbers and other folks with common interests.
